A female tiger which fled a wildlife park in India’s flood-ravaged state of Assam was found relaxing on a bed inside a local resident’s house.
She is believed to have fled the Kaziranga National Park. According to a report, about 80 per cent of the Kaziranga National Park and 95 camps are under water. The floods have left 50 animals dead in recent days amid heavy flooding or displaced many.
officials were later called to the scene and began preparing a safe escape route for her. At first, forest officials said attempts were on to tranquillise the tiger and take it to safety.
An hour later, the Wildlife Trust India shared an image of the road and area that the tiger needed to cross to get back to the forest.
By afternoon, a team reached the location and started preparing for a safe passage for the tiger.
