NYS Delegation and APPAC Join Hands with Punjab for Education and Culture Exchange

Lahore: In an exciting development, the American Pakistan Public Affairs Committee (APPAC) and a bi-partisan group of New York State lawmakers met with the Punjab Minister of Education, with the efforts of APPAC and under the leadership of Deputy Speaker Assemblyman Ramos, a Sister State resolution was passed between New York and Punjab.

To make this partnership official, Their goal is to start programs for students from kindergarten through 12th grade. These programs will help students in both regions understand and appreciate each other’s cultures.

“We also discussed that Pakistan has a very high percentage of skilled visa workers being approved, around 98%,” said Ather Tirmizi “Additionally, we talked about collaborating with the Ministry of Education to enhance the efficacy of teachers and teaching methods in Pakistan.”

“This partnership is about more than just an agreement,” said Dr. Ijaz Ahmad, chairman APPAC. “It’s about building bridges and creating opportunities for our children to learn from one another.”

For New York, this means bringing new ideas and cultural experiences into schools. For Punjab, it means improving their education system and opening doors for economic growth.

APPAC’s efforts go beyond education. They are also working to promote cultural understanding and economic cooperation between the U.S. and Pakistan. This partnership has the potential to bring positive changes for both regions and strengthen global ties.
