Bashir Qamar’s travelogue “Giftar-e-Qamar” launched

NEWYORK: A travelogue launch ceremony of founder Pakistani American Community of Long Island Bashir Qamar was held at Hicksville community centre at Long Island.

Well-known literary and community figures expressed their views on the travelogue launch of “Giftar-i-Qamar”  written by Bashir Qamar, the founder of the Pakistani American Community of Long Island and a well-known literary figure on his journey to India.

Famous columnist, writer and poet Wakeel Ansari moderated the event and acknowledge the efforts of Bashir Qamar., while addressing the participants, Vakil Ansari appreciated the efforts of Bashir Qamar.

The famous researcher, poet and writer Mamoon Ayman launched Giftar Qamar, a travelogue of Bashir Qamar.

Presiding over the event, Mamoon Ayman recited his Rubai’at on Bashir Qamar’s literary journey.

Welcoming the guests Bashir Qamar said that the quality of this travelogue is that it is written in very simple language so that everyone can enjoy it.

Bashir Qamar’s spouse Tasneem Qamar said that the launch of Giftar Qamar after launch of Aks Qamar is a good addition.  She said that she could not think that journey to India will come out in form of travelogue. She said that it is matter of great joy when Bashir Qamar resumed his literary journey despite his illness.

Various literary and community figures participating in the event expressed their opinions on Bashir Qamar’s Giftar-e-Qamar and said that it is Bashir Qamar’s unique privilege to compile history while writing a travelogue.
