NGO to be set up for initiating funeral services in Mirpur

MIRPUR: Business and social personality from New York Imtiaz Ahmed and well-known political and businessman of Mirpur Raja Ishtiaq Shaukat met Commissioner Mirpur Azad Kashmir Chaudhary Shaukat at his residence.

The issues faced by the city of Mirpur Azad Kashmir and steps to be taken for resolving these issues were discussed in the meeting.

It was agreed in the meeting that funeral services to be initiated soon and for such purpose a non-governmental organization to be set up.

Commissioner Mirpur Chaudhry  Shaukat  appreciated the efforts for setting up funeral service and assured that all the possible assistance will be provided for such cause.

Earlier, Commissioner Mirpur also appraised the Imtiaz Ahmed about the website to resolve the problems of the Kashmiri American community so that overseas Kashmiris can register their complaints online.

Imtiaz Ahmed said that after setting up of funeral services and NGOs in Mirpur, effective steps will be taken for the burial of the unclaimed bodies.
