New York’s Governor nominates Dr. Ijaz Ahmed as a member of Justice Center Advisory Council

NEWYORK: New York city Governor Kathy Hocul has nominated a Pakistani American Dr. Ijaz Ahmed as member of Justice Center Advisory Council which has also been confirmed by the Senate.

Dr. Ijaz Ahmed is the first Pakistani-American to become a member of the Justice Center Advisory Council of America and he will hold this position for two years.

This advisory council was constituted under protection of people with special needs Act with aim to provide guidance to the justice center on the development of policies, programs and regulations.

Keeping in view the services of Dr. Ijaz Ahmad for the community, it could be said that he will provide valuable assistance to achieve the council’s mission. The nomination of Dr. Ijaz as member of Justice Center Advisory Council is not only cause of happiness and proud for the Pakistani American community but it also reflects that the Pakistani-American community is playing a prominent role in various fields.

Dr. Ijaz Ahmed’s nomination for the justice center advisory council indicates that his competence, hard work, and commitment have been duly recognized. This appointment of Dr. Ijaz will give the Pakistani community a strong and powerful voice in American institutions as well as it will also encourage Pakistani-Americans to work hard to achieve their goals and bring glory to their country.

Dr. Ijaz Ahmed thanked Governor Hocul for his appointment as a member of the Justice Center Advisory Council and assured his full cooperation.
