APNA community center announces establishment of cricket club

NEWYORK: Along with social and welfare works, APNA community center has announced establishment of APNA cricket club to promote cricket among the youths.

APNA Cricket Team will also participate in American Cricket League series matches.

This was announced in the inauguration ceremony  held at APNA community center.

APNA community chairman Pervez Siddiqui said that every Pakistani has passion for cricket and there was no any such person who doesn’t like cricket. He said that establishment of APNA cricket club was a healthy initiative to keep the youth engaged in the activities of the community. He said that he can proudly claim that this initiative will promote our socio-cultural activities.

Giving details of the APNA Cricket Club, CEO Iram Hanif said that APNA community Center was constantly trying to create and bring new programs for community members.

She said that APNA has set goal in 2024 to add more services and programs to keep our youth engaged in physical, health and wellness activities.

APNA team captain Mohammad Hanif said that cricket is the only game which is popular in Pakistan as well as many other countries.

Hanif said that APNA team will play 16 matches of 40 overs and  6 matches of 20 overs in US cricket league.

Representatives of all the sponsors of APNA Cricket Club including APNA Adult Day Care, Effective Home Care and Marhaba Pharmacy also participated in the ceremony.

On this occasion, the representative of Effective Home Care Larissa said that initiative of cricket club for the youth is not only has great importance but also unique from other organizations as it will help us to provide healthy outdoor activities to our youth. Chairman Pervez Siddiqui also distributed kits and caps to the team members. Community Director Shazia Vito was also present on the occasion.
