Rawalpindi: Security forces on Saturday killed an alleged terrorist and injured two others in an intelligence based operation in Buner District Khyber Pukhtoonkhwa.
According to ISPR, security forces conducted an intelligence based operation in Buner District, on reported presence of terrorists. During operation, an encounter took place between security forces and terrorist Saleem alis Rabbani and his accomplices resulting ring leader Saleem alias Rabbani was killed and two of his accomplices were injured.
Two soldiers of security forces Lance Havildar Mudassar Mehmood and Lance Naik Haseeb Javed having fought gallantly, embraced martyrdom.
ISPR said terrorist Saleem alias Rabbani remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities against the security forces as well as extortion and target killings of innocent civilians. He was highly wanted by the law enforcement agencies and the government had fixed head money of Rs. 5 million on him.
Sanitization operation was being carried out to eliminate any other terrorists found in the area. Security forces of Pakistan remain determined to wipe-out the menace of terrorism and such sacrifices of our brave soldiers further strengthen our resolve.
