NEW YORK: Deputy Consul General of Pakistan in New York Umar Sheikh said that Inspector Adeel Rana and Deputy Inspector Misbah Noor were the pride of Pakistani community and youth should follow them.
He was addressing an Iftar dinner held at New York Police Department’s police academy in Queens, New York. A large number of political, social and business personalities of the Pakistani American community from different walks of life attended the Iftar dinner reception.
The ceremony began with the recitation of the Holy Quran. Later, the national anthems of the United States and Pakistan were sung as per tradition.
Chief guest and Pakistan’s Deputy Consul General Umar Sheikh in New York said that promotion of Adeel Rana to Inspector and Misbah Noor to Deputy Inspector was proof that if a person works hard, honestly and with dedication, no one can stop him from succeeding.
On this occasion, Pakistani-American police officials and other high ups were also present. They said that police wants the cooperation of the entire community and everyone will have to work hard to eliminate crimes which is the success of all. The organizers of the Iftar dinner expressed their gratitude to the guests for their arrival.
