Hosted Iftar for Muslim community; says sheriff's office stands by with the Muslim community in every problem

NEW YORK: Suffolk County Sheriff Dr. Errol D Toulon Jr. along with his team arrived at Masjid Darul Quran to break the fast with Muslim community in Long Island, New York.  Sheriff Errol D Toulon hosted the Iftar.

Like every year, Errol Toulon Jr. along with his staff arrived at Masjid Darul Qur’an in Long Island to celebrate Ramadan in a special way.

Community social activist Raja Hassan along with other dignitaries welcomed Sheriff and his team.

Sheriff Suffolk County not only brought Iftar food for the Muslim community but also had Iftar with them. Sheriff served different types of food for Iftar.

Talking to Voice of South Asia on this occasion, Sheriff Errol Toulon said that the purpose of the event was to wish the Muslim community a happy Ramadan by the Suffolk County Sheriff’s office and the 1.5 million residents of the Suffolk County. He said that we want to inform that law enforcement agencies especially Sheriff office was standing by along with Muslim community.

Community social activist Raja Hassan said that this initiative on behalf of the sheriff’s office has been continuing for the past few years, which sends a message to the community that the sheriff’s office stands by with the Muslim community in every problem or difficulty.

He expressed gratitude to Suffolk County sheriff’s office for this gesture and hoped that the Sheriff office will continue to support the Muslim Community in future. After the Iftar, the Sheriff met with the people and children and made pictures with them.  He also asked the problems being faced by the community people and assured that their problems will be resolved as soon as possible.
