The annual fundraising event of Aghosh-al -Khidmat USA was held in New Jersey. The purpose of the event was to raise funds for the provision of facilities for orphans. The event was hosted by Dr. Mahmood Alam. The ceremony started with recitation of Holy Quran, Shakoor Alam, the leader of Aghosh-al -Khidmat USA, recited the verses form Holy Quran. After the recitation, Shakoor Alam said that Al-Khidmat Pakistan has succeeded in providing aid to the oppressed Palestinians of Gaza and it has been possible because of God fearing people like you.
Addressing to the ceremony, Dr. Mahmood Alam informed about the Al-Khidmat’s work and the services being provided to the deserving ones.
‘’our community in America participates in good deeds more than its size, he added.
Al-Khidmat Foundation Vice President Abdul Shakoor who came from Pakistan said that Al-Khidmat not only works for the deserving but now it is also making the youth of Karachi skilled for IT sector.
Retired Air Marshal Arshad Malik, National Director of Al-Khidmat Foundation, said that Al-Khidmat’s services are not hidden from anyone. Today, in this modern era of the Internet, everyone can know the truth about their services through Google.
Prayers were also offered in the memory of deceased elder brother of Shakoor Alam’s. In the program, the participants were informed that the orphans living in the institution run by Al-Khidmat Aghosh are being provided with quality education and training, good food and mental and physical development, modern digital skills are also taught.
One of the main objectives of the institution is to provide quality education to these children so that they do not feel inferior and deprived because of Orphanhood .
