Minorities in US need to be united, PACOLI President Abdul Rahman

Religion teaches love not hate, PACOLI’s senior vice president Humayun Shabbir

Pakistan American Community of Long Island New York organized a seminar to raise awareness against hate crimes. The purpose of seminar was to prevent people of minority community from hate crimes.

Addressing a seminar, PACOLI President Abdul Rehman said that we are living here as minority and each of us belong to different  community. He said that we should get together and united as community so that we can be heard and recognized. He said that if we were not united then our voice will not be heard.

Senior vice president PACOLI Humayon Shabbir said that no religion teaches about hate and all religions are humanity based which encourage people to create and live as a society. PACOLI’s general secretary Asim Malik moderated the seminar. On this occasion, other officer bearers of PACOLI were also present.

PACOLI office bearers said in the statements that racism has no place in our community and we must actively challenge this prejudice.

PACOLI leaders said that we should promote our culture which could be the only way to remove our differences and division.

The leaders of other communities said that it is need of hour to raise awareness for prioritizing peace and justice in the society. Founder of PACOLI, Bashir Qamar and Saeed Hasan from the office of Republican Senator Steve Rhodes also presented certificates of appreciation to Asim Malik and Madiha Mustafa on behalf of Senator Steve Rhodes.
