PTI had challenged the election commission of Pakistan’s decision that refused to allocate the Bat symbol to the party

Peshawar: Peshawar High Court has restored the election symbol “bat” of Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf setting aside the election commission of Pakistan’s order.

PTI had challenged the election commission of Pakistan’s decision that refuse to allocate the Bat symbol to PTI for the forthcoming general election on February 8 2024 on failure to fulfill intra-party election requirements.

The court observed that the ECP decision was unlawful and PTI being as political party was entitled to an allocation of election symbols to contest the polls. The court directed the ECP to allocate the election symbol of Bat to the PTI.

PTI counsel Ali Zafar said that no one can stop PTI from winning the elections. He lauded the LHC judgment and said that the court has ordered to restoration of the PTI bat symbol and directed ECP to upload the intra-party results on its website forthwith.
