Christmas, New Year holidays: Pakistani women distribute blankets to needy families, toys to children

The New Life Minority Human Rights Council vows to play a significant role in addressing mental health issues, domestic violence in near future

New York: The New Life Minority Human Rights Council, an organization of Pakistani women in New York, distributed blankets to needy people and toys to children on the occasion of Christmas and holidays.

The organization set up stalls on Coney Island Avenue in Brooklyn and distributed blankets to hundreds of families and toys to children.

Consul General of Pakistan in New York Amir Ahmed Atozai and some American officials also arrived at the event and participated in the distribution of gifts.

On this occasion, they said that the Pakistani community has never been behind in spreading happiness on the faces of the needy.

Needy people from various parts of Brooklyn gathered on Coney Island Avenue in large numbers and received gifts, while leaders and representatives of other organizations of the Pakistani American community were also present.

On this occasion, New Life Minority Human Rights Council Chairperson Raheela Aslam, Dr. Salma Kausar and others said that they believe in sharing love and spreading the message of peace.

The leadership of the New Life Minority Human Rights Council said that in the near future they will play a significant role in addressing mental health issues and domestic violence, as well as empowering the women of the community.
