Various departments under the New York City Government set up stalls to guide and provide useful advice to the youth

NEW YORK: Apna Community Center organized a job and resource fair to guide Pakistani youth living in New York to get jobs in different US departments.

Apna Brooklyn Community Center in Brighton, New York organized a job fair to guide Pakistani American youth in getting jobs in the public and private sectors, which was attended by a large number of community members including representatives from various sectors of the city government.

The ceremony started with the recitation of the Holy Quran.

Various departments under the New York City Government set up stalls to guide and provide useful advice to the youth participating in the job fair.

On this occasion Apna’s Chief Executive Officer Iram Hanif introduced everyone and expressed her gratitude to them.

Speaking to the participants of the job fair, Apna Community Center Chairman Pervez Siddiqui said that there is no lack of ability and potential among the youth of the Pakistani American community, they just need better guidance.

The participating representatives from New York City’s Comptroller and Commissioner’s Office welcomed and encouraged the organization of the job fair.

On this occasion, the participants expressed their views and appreciated the efforts of the community center and urged the community to benefit from this job fair.

The participants of the job got useful information from the staff sitting at the city government stalls.
