NYPD’s MOS holds an anti-dengue camp in Karachi

MOS donates a spray machine to kill mosquitoes and eliminate their breeding in the port city

KARACHI: New York Police Department’s (NYPD’s) Muslim Officers Society (MOS) on Sunday organized an anti-dengue camp in Karachi, in which people were tested free of charge. Mosquito repellents were also provided among the visitors on this occasion.

A team of medical experts was present to conduct dengue tests.

In the anti-dengue camp, Karachi Police and the paramilitary Rangers personnel were also tested for dengue, while lotions and sprays were also given to protect them against mosquitoes.

Officers Sagheer Ahmed and Nauman Malik of the Muslim Officers Society of the New York Police Department assured all possible support for the fight against dengue in Pakistan.

Social workers of Apna Community Center and Karachi Club of New York said that the dengue tests and prevention campaign were started a month ago, but today’s camp was organized with the support of MOS.

On behalf of Muslim Officers Society of NYPD, a spray machine was also donated to kill mosquitoes and eliminate their breeding in Karachi city.
