New York: In a remarkable achievement,  a Pakistani-American candidate Alisha Khan has won the slot of South Brunswick Board of Education, New Jersey in the U.S midterm elections held on Wednesday.

Alisha Khan also holds the honor of being the youngest candidate in this constituency. She wants improvement for students in the field of education.

Alisha Khan got the full support of all South Asians including Pakistanis, Indians, and Bangladeshis, apart from Democrats in her county and constituency.

After her success at South Brunswick, Alisha Khan wants to bring her experience and vision to the School Board of Education to do better for the students.

The US mid-term elections saw a cut throat contest between the Democrats and the Republicans.

In the mid-term elections, there was a tough competition between the ruling party Democrats and Republicans for the US House of Representatives and the Senate.
