New York: Workers of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf America chapter staged a protest demonstration at Time Square in New York to denounce the brutal killing of senior journalist Arshad Sharif in Kynia.
The participants demanded that justice be provided to Arshad Sharif’s heirs.
They were holding banners, placards and candles.
The demonstration was led by senior PTI New York leader Khurshid Bhali.
On this occasion, Khursheed Bhali and others said that the killing of Arshad Sharif is not just a journalist but the killing of the voice of truth.
A transparent and independent inquiry into the murder of Arshad Sharief should be completed as soon as possible.
A large number of youth, men and women participated in the demonstration.
The participants also carried Arshad Sharief’s photos and banners inscribed with slogans seeking justice for Sharif.
On this occasion, Pakistani American women said that senior journalist Arshad Sharief was killed for telling the truth.
We will not remain silent until the elements and murderers involved in the conspiracy to kill Arshad Sharief are punished and brought to the task.
The protesters said that this is not their first and last protest.
We demand the government of Pakistan to provide justice to the family members of senior journalist Arshad Sharief with immediate effect.
