Pakistan asks the world to mobilize resources for basic quality education

Pakistan's State Minister Hina Rabbani Khar told UNGA that for a peaceful world, every child must have access to education.

UN: Pakistan’s State Minister for Foreign Affairs Hina Rabbani Khar has said that in order to ensure a peaceful world, every child must have access to quality education, and she called upon the world to mobilize resources, in this regard.

She was addressing the G77 “Transforming Education Summit” (Accessibility feed) at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) on Monday.

She said the current state of global education does not reflect the estimated targets, and this is not a good omen for a peaceful and prosperous world at large.

She said that ‘political will, as well as the international solidary, are the basic preconditions for the provision of quality education amongst the children.

She called upon the international community to mobilize resources so that the very right of access to evidence-based, yet quality education could be ensured amongst children across the globe, without any discrimination.
