A Sikh and a Pakistani community captain posted in NYPD promoted to the rank of commanding officers

Amanjeet Sandhu and Muhammad Ashraf have been posted in District Transit 1, and District 12, respectively

New York: A Sikh and a Pakistani community captain posted in the New York Police Department have been promoted to the rank of commanding officers

The two South Asians have been promoted to the position of Commanding Officer in the New York Police Department.

Amanjeet Sandhu of the Sikh community who has been promoted to the rank of Commanding Officer from Captain has been posted in District Transit 1, and is the first Commanding Officer in the Sikh community.

The Sikh community has expressed great joy on receiving this post.

A Pakistani officer posted in NYPD has also been promoted. Captain Muhammad Ashraf has been promoted to the rank of Commanding Officer in District 12.

Muhammad Ashraf is a board member of the Muslim Officer Society, while the other Pakistani-Americans who have been given the post of commanding officer are Pakistani-Americans.

In celebration of his promotion, Deputy Inspector Adeel Rana, Commanding Officer of Muslim Officer Society, along with others, cut the cake and congratulated the entire Pakistani community.

Adeel Rana also advised the youth of the community to join the police force for their better future.
