New York: Pakistani community in New York held a mega rally on account of the 75th Independence Day of the country on Coney Island avenue Brooklyn known as the little Pakistan, which was attended by Pakistanis and others in great numbers.
American male and female officials dressed in traditional Pakistani attire became the center of attention while the rally participants including women and children were holding Pakistani flags in their hands.
People riding in many vehicles participated in the rally, and the jubilant youth were dancing over the background patriotic songs.
Pakistani American Youth Society, Pakistani American Skilled Women Organization, Bronx’s entrepreneur Raja Sajid, and the float of the Kashmiri community anchored the rally.
A function was also organized along with the rally. Deputy Public Advocate Kashif Hussain administrated the event. President of Pakistani American Law Enforcement Society Rohail Khalid recited a few verses of the Holy Quran.
New York City Public Advocate Jumaane Williams, and Brooklyn Borough President Antonio Reynoso said that the beauty of the Pakistani community is that they include us in every festival they do.
Deputy Public Advocate Kashif Hussain, Ali Rashid of American Pakistani Advocacy Group, New York Police Muslim Officers Society President Deputy Inspector Adeel Rana, spoke on the promotion of solidarity. He also shed light on the eternal story of freedom.
The Pakistan Day Rally was not only an expression of love for Pakistan but also an opportunity for the community to come together once again.
