Month of blessings begins around the globe while in US, American Pakistani Advocacy Group (APAG) organizes a Ramadan Food drive at Queens’s area of New York. Essentials food items were distributed among the needy, a large number of Pakistani-American and others attended the distribution to collect the groceries.
Food drive begins with the recitation of Holy Quran, Assemblyman David Vaprin is the guest of honor while other U.S. officials also attended the APAG Ramadhan food drive. US assemblyman and other officials praised APAG and President Ali Rasheed’s services to the community.
Flour, rice, gram, lentils, basin, tea bag, dates, soft drinks-Rooh Afza, fruits, bread, eggs and other daily essentials were distributed in Queens on Friday.
APAG volunteers said helping the needy brings peace of mind to us, while Chief APAG Ali Rashid said that the real purpose of Ramadhan Sharif is to meet the needs of others.
The APAG food drive also distributes cooked halal hot meals along with all the essentials for Ramadan.
