The American Council of Minority Women celebrated Day of Dignity with Islamic Relief in the Brooklyn area of New York.
On the Day of Dignity, winter clothes, warm clothes for children, school supplies, hygiene kits, hot meals, fresh fruits and vegetables and many other items were distributed. Its seems like a carnival.
Speaking on the occasion, Baza Rohi, Chairperson of the American Council of Minority Women and a representative of Islamic Relief said that all this was possible only due to the cooperation of our donors and the joy of celebrating this day cannot be described.
A medical camp was also setup on the day of Dignity. Doctors provides useful medical advice to the participants.
Social figures from the Pakistani community, including Deputy Consul General Nawab Adil Khan, also attended.
“Our community in New York is at the forefront of serving humanity and that’s our identity,” he said.
Volunteers from the American Council of Minority Women and Islamic Relief are increasingly involved in distributing items to those in needs. Participants said that there is no substitute for the spiritual satisfaction that comes from helping one another.
