The management of Pakistan Day Parade New Jersey hosted a dinner at a local restaurant to appreciate the services of its volunteers and sponsors. Prominent figures from Pakistani community, APL chairman J Mir, singer Shazia Manzoor and other US officials also attended.
The ceremony began with the recitation of the Holy Quran. National anthems of US and Pakistan were performed on the event.
While addressing, Sam Khan, the chief organizer of Pakistan Day Parade at New Jersey, said that it is very important for new generation to be aware of their history, while parade committee member, Dr. Zubair, said that volunteers play a key role in making our parade success every year and it is important that their services must be appreciated
Renowned Pakistani singer Shazia Manzoor expressed her views, and said that Pakistanis in the world always celebrate their national days, religious and cultural festivals with full zeal and fervor.
US officials expressed their views, and said that women are succeeding in every field. Women on Day Parade Committee and volunteers also proved themselves. At last, US officials distributed awards and certificates to volunteers of Pakistan Day Parade New Jersey.
