The colorful opening ceremony of APL-American Premier League held at Yogi Berra Stadium in New Jersey. A large number of Pakistani-American community including cricket fans attended and encouraged the teams and players.
Teams were warmly welcomed with their national flags and reached on the stage with their respective owners and coaches. National anthems of their country were performed.
Pakistan’s famous singer Salman Ahmed son’s Sher Jan Ahmed, evoked the magic of his voice and appreciated lot by the audience.
Chief Guest, Pakistan Consul General in New York, Ayesha Ali congratulated the teams, including APL owner J Mir. While address on the occasion, Consul General said that APL is the shining star of cricket promotion and introduction of new talent in America which will always shine.
