Pakistan Mission and Pakistan Club at UN celebrates Independence day.

Pakistan Independence Day was celebrated with enthusiasm under the sponsorships of Pakistan Mission and Pakistan Club at the United Nations. The ceremony was attended by diplomats, including UN officials. The flag was hoisted on the occasion and national anthem of Pakistan was also performed.

Pakistan Mission, First Secretary, Qasim Aziz, delivered the opening and closing remarks.

Speaking on the occasion, Pakistani Permanent Representative Munir Akram said that our independence is not yet complete, our brothers and sisters in Kashmir have been deprived of the right to self-determination and to join Pakistan.

On the occasion, Irfan Soomro, President of Pakistan Club at the UN addressing the participants, said that Pakistan has played a significant role in U.N.

Ayaz Soomro thanked all the participants in the ceremony and also paid tribute to all the officials who have served at UN on behalf of Pakistan. A cake was cut on Pakistan’s Independence Day and congratulated each other.
