The reception was arranged in honor of Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi in New York.
The event was attended by PTI US President Junaid Bashir, Secretary General Sam Khan, Naveed Warraich and PTI leaders and workers across the US. Senior PTI members Amjad Nawaz, Rana Javed, Akram Awan, Shahid Ranjha and others present in the event.
In a reception Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has said that overseas Pakistanis will play a role in the country decisions. Overseas Pakistanis are going to legislate for votes and we are ready for electoral reforms. Addressing a reception given by PTI USA in his honor, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that Khan is our leader.
F.M. said, that “Do you trust Khan, then why these if?”, “If you trust him, then trust him completely.” Imran Khan says he does not want revenge. The Foreign Minister further added that “the sugar mafia has been blackmailing, I tell Imran Khan, move forward and go ahead”.
Overseas Pakistanis have an important role in Pakistan growth and also have full right to vote. For this purpose we are going to legislate for the vote of overseas Pakistanis, F.M. added.
On the occasion, senior PTI leader Amjad Nawaz and PTI US President Junaid Bashir thanked Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi for his participation in reception. He said that the efforts made by the Pakistani government for the oppressed people of Palestine and Kashmir were praiseworthy. We have full confidence on the current Pakistani government and we are grateful to Imran Khan.
All the workers participating in the event said that the heart of Overseas Pakistanis beats for Pakistan. We want Overseas Pakistanis to have a voice in Pakistan and they should also have a ministry in Pakistan.
