Chinese President telephonic conversation with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

Chinese President Xi Jinping has discussed the development of bilateral relations over the telephone with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. He also said that China is ready to take its bilateral partnership with Saudi Arabia to new horizons.

The two leaders discussed on a phone call that promotion of bilateral cooperation in the fields of energy, trade and technology. Prince Muhammad bin Salman told him that “China is a” reliable brother “of Saudi Arabia. He is ready to strategically integrate his Vision 2030 with President Xi’s One Belt, One Road Trade and Infrastructure. Under this vision, Saudi Arabia is diversifying its national economy and wants to reduce its dependence on oil revenues in the future.

Both the countries were focusing on the development of other economic sectors. It should be noted that China is the largest importer of crude oil from Saudi Arabia.

According to the latest figures provided by Chinese Customs, Chinese oil imports from Saudi Arabia increased by 8.8% in March compared to the same period last year.
