New York Muslim’s divided over Ramadan moon sighting.

New York, the Muslim community has been divided over the sighting of the Ramadan moon this year. Hanafi jurisprudence confirmed the appearance of the moon for month of Ramadan, after which the first Taraweeh prayers were offered in mosques.

Social distance was also maintained during Taraweeh prayers to prevent corona virus. Citizens were very happy to offer Taraweeh prayers after two years.

On the other end , Allama Dr. Ayatollah Sakhawat Hussain Sandralvi, a well-known religious scholar of Jaffaria jurisprudence, announced that the moon of Ramadan did not appear on Monday. Therefore, the Jafaria nation will observe the first fast on Wednesday, April 14.
