7 died among 40 dolphins trapped in storm affected Amlaj, KSA.

Forty dolphins trapped and seven dolphins have died in the storm surge Amlaj, Saudi Arabia, while the rest have been relocated to the deep sea.

Dr Muhammad Ali Qurban, executive director of National Wildlife, said it was common for coastal marine life to be affected by hurricanes and that such incidents were common in most of the world’s oceans. All research organizations working to protect aquatic life are paying close attention to this issue.

Efforts are also being made in the scientific field in this regard to address the threats to aquatic life.
