A ten-month-old girl dies after being raped by her ‘father’

Pennsylvania: 10-month-old did not survive the sexual assault by her ‘father’. A man is arrested who was accused of this horrific crime against his own child.

Austin Stevens was arrested and charged after his daughter Zara Scruggs was raped by him at his apartment in Lower Providence Township, Pennsylvania.

Stevens waited for nearly an hour before calling 911 after the incident. His phone reveals multiple Google searches with subjects that included “If the baby stops breathing,” “What if you don’t hear baby heart or beat,” “My baby isn’t breathing,” and “How do you know if a baby is dead.”

An autopsy determined that Zara was sexually assaulted and suffered blunt force trauma to the head.

“This case is deeply disturbing,” District Attorney Kevin Steele said in a statement. “It is hard to imagine this child’s death being any more traumatic: sexual assault on an infant, followed by inaction by the father to save her life, led to her death.”
