ICNA Relief Takes “Back to School” to Utica

ICNA Relief continues with their “Back to School” project, this time making their way to Utica where they distributed school bags and hygiene kits among more than 500 children.

Robert Palmieri, Mayor Utica came down to the event as the special guest. Talking to Voice of South Asia, he praised ICNA relief for their welfare work, stating that many families all over New York have benefited by the valiant efforts of the organization.

The local Masjid of Utica, Utica Islamic Centre cooperated with ICNA for the success of this event. Hundreds of citizens, on this occasion, queued up with their children to receive their free bags and other essential supplies.

Local doctor Sara Saeed acknowledged the efforts of ICNA and claimed that this would help in supporting a large number of families in New York.

Atif Rehman, in charge Back to School program, shared his views by speaking to Voice of South Asia. ICNA Relief operates and obliges without any sort of racial or religious discrimination, said Atif Rehman.

The children and parents expressed joy upon being provided new school bags and other essential supplies.
