New York: Pakistani Community Conducts Free Covid-19 Tests

The novel Covid-19 continues to spread itself across the United States. With the country reporting over 2.2 million confirmed cases and over 120,000 dead, the virus doesn’t seem to be coming to a halt as per the current condition.

Amid the arising tension, Pakistani community has yet again emerged with their will of contributing to the society. Khyber Society and Pakistani American Youth Society collaborating along with the Muslim Officers Society of NYPD, held Covid-19 testing for the people, free of cost.

General Secretary of Khyber Society Sahabzada Shabbir was present along with his team on this occasion. He stated that with conducting these tests, we shall be able to accumulate the exact number of Covid cases in the society.

A large number of residents from Brooklyn queued up to get them-selves tested. Tests were conducted without any sort of ethnic or racial discrimination.

Speaking to Voice of South Asia, Kashif Hussain of the Pakistani American Youth Society said that these tests would reassure the people about the existence of anti-bodies within their system.

Volunteers took part in the free medical testing along with the medical staff. Halal food was distributed as well among 400 people on this occasion.
