Travel Advisory for Suspension of International Flight Operations in Pakistan

Against the back drop of Pandemic Novel Covid-19 and after carefully examining all options, the government of Pakistan has decided to suspend operations of all international flights to Pakistan, putting the order in effective from 21st March 2020 to 4th April 2020. This is temporary suspension imposed due to exceptional circumstances. Upon resumption of international passenger’s flight to Pakistan, RT-PCR test certification from points of origin will not be mandatory.

Diplomats and special cargo aircrafts are exempted from the conditions above. However they will be subjected to health screening on arrival. They can also be isolated/ quarantined as per advice of health professionals.

Pakistani Mission abroad have been directed to extend all possible assistance and support to all travellers who were planning to travel to Pakistan during the suspension period and address any issues that may arise because of this suspension.

The government of Pakistan is fully committed to ensuring the safety and security of its people. COVID-19 is global challenge entailing a global response. Individual responsibility is critical for collective security.
