First Pakistani Girl Won International Figure Skating Tournament in Austria

Twevle-year-old Pakistani girl, Mallak Faisal Zafar, won an international competition for figure skating in Austria, beating hundreds of other contestants from around the world.

The young girl grabbed the first position in the two-day Basic Novice Girls II category at the 24th International Eiscup Inssbruck 2019.

Over 200 participants from Austria, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, and a number of other countries competed at this popular Interclub Singles Competition for Seniors, Juniors, Advanced Novice, Intermediate Novice, Basic Novice, Cubs and Chicks.

Mallak, who is currently based in Dubai, only started skating at the age of five and hopes to represent Pakistan at the Winter Olympics in the future.

She has also conducted training camps for youngsters in Karachi and Islamabad in June 2019.
